Item A shows Kodak's negative OPS pattern depicting that Kodak generated negative OPS (Red) for four consecutive first fiscal Quarters. Item B shows the break in Kodak's negative first fiscal Quarter pattern. The pattern broke on May 8, 2002 when Kodak indicated positive OPS (Green) for its first quarter with its shares trading at $33.68. This break in the pattern was an indicator of Kodak's improving fundamentals. During this time Wall Street had three "sells" and no "buys" on Kodak. Since May 8, 2002, Kodak's shares have maintained their value with its shares trading at $34.10 on November 8, 2002. This compares to a 19% decline in the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the same period.
